Great Northern School District is a K-6 elementary school located just northwest of Spokane off of Old Trails Road. Our annual student enrollment varies from 35 to 45 students. Our teaching consists of Ms. Cindy Phillips and Ms. Kathy Johnston, co-teaching grades K-2; Mr. David Sproul, grades 3-4; and Ms. Eileen Nave, grades 5-6. Ms. Johnston also serves as Special Education Coordinator. Mr. Sproul acts in the capacity of Head Teacher. Special needs such as music, art, P.E., and student services are contracted either with individuals or through Educational Service District 101.

The District was established over 100 years ago and is located in a building originally constructed in 1912. It is plain that our quality staff and small class sizes can serve the needs of the individual student. Coupled with a caring community of parents and neighbors, our students go on to other districts confident and well prepared. Kids do come first.
