2020-2021 School Reopening

As you all know, Covid-19 has been challenging for all facets of our community, region, and state. As educators, what we want more than anything is an opportunity to serve our students in a face-to-face model of teaching and learning.

As a district, we have to trust in the recommendation of the health professionals and make a decision that is in the best interest of keeping our students, staff, and community safe. In order to ensure that safety, and follow the recommendations of health professionals, the Great Northern School Board adopted a reopening plan that started the school year remotely with online learning.

We are bringing students back into the classroom in consultation with our local health jurisdiction as it is safe to do so. Please know that more communication will be coming your way about how our remote learning will be delivered.

We look forward to working with you during the 2020-2021 school year.

Be well and happy learning!

Jeff Baerwald
